I have worked as a therapist for over 30 years and have been in private practice for over 24 years. I worked at the Cairnmillar Institute for 3 ½ years and was Senior Therapist, and Assistant to the Clinical Director when I left. For 12 years previously I taught philosophy and philosophy of science at the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University. 

My original training was in Cognitive Behavioural, Family Systems and Psychodynamic therapies. I have since explored Jungian, transpersonal, and humanistic therapies. I have developed an effective model for working with trauma combining a number of different modalities. I am experienced in using Cognitive Behavioural therapy for depression, anxiety, anger management, and low self-esteem and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I offer stress management including relaxation and meditation. 

I specialise in trauma counselling, and have worked intensively in the areas of developmental trauma and associated chronic, depression and anxiety disorders. Whilst I work mainly with adults, as a trained family therapist I also work with couples, children over 10, adolescents and families. I also offer spiritual counselling and personal development and life coaching.

I no longer see clients involving forensic or family court work, Workcover,  TAC or Victims of Crime.

SCHEDULE OF FEES (January 2026)

Basic Fee: $235.00

Concessional Fee: Can be negotiated depending on the circumstances from $180

Medicare rebate: Currently $145.25 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Renewed for all plans on 1 st January each year.

Bulk billing may be available in special circumstances.

Rebate for psychological services is available from most private health funds.
