With a genuine interest in health and wellbeing, and working with people to help them achieve their health goals, Lorcan brings over 20 years of experience in the health field to the Leongatha Health Hub team.
Growing up in Ireland before emigrated to Australia in 1991, Lorcan studied Podiatry at university for four years, graduating in 1999. This was followed by a five year Chiropractic program at RMIT where he graduated in 2004 with Distinction and was awarded Graduate of the Year.
Lorcan then spent a year working as an Australian Volunteer in East Timor - an experience he describes as truly rewarding.
In 2005, Lorcan moved to Leongatha with his wife and three children for what was initially supposed to be a short term stay, but quickly grew to love to the country lifestyle and people, and never left!
In the last three years, Lorcan has helped transform Langdon Chiropractic Clinic into what is now the Leongatha Health Hub, with the aim of the change to integrate excellent natural health care in one location.
As part of this change, Lorcan has taken on the challenge of further studies with the Australian College of Chiropractic Paediatrics, completing the two year program in 2021.
Lorcan is excited to be part of the Leongatha Health Hub team, and continues to update his knowledge and skills by attending numerous workshops and conferences each year.
Using chiropractic with children to allow them to start life with optimally functioning spines and nervous systems is something that Lorcan is very passionate about, and he has plans to continue with studies in this area.
We envision a vibrant positive environment where the needs of the individual patient are foremost in the minds of our healthcare providers.
We will provide a place of hope, optimism, and restoration that allows maximal healing for anyone in our community.
We will teach improved health which equals improved movement. Improved movement allows wear and repair, instead of wear and tear.
Our success in working with individual patients will influence our community's health, strength, and spirit, making a difference one by one and beyond this, in the families and communities they are involved in.
